Hi I'm Alex

I was born and raised in Utah. I love skiing and wakeboarding and have a passion for music. I'm serving a mission in England.

About Me

I am 18 and I am the first born in a family of 5 boys. I love playing and listening to music. I listen to everything (except country). I play piano and guitar and have even started a high school band. Because I live in Utah I also love snow skiing. I usually will go every weekend during the season without ever missing a day. To balance out the skiing I also love boating and wakeboarding in the summer. I have recently been called to the Birmingham England mission to serve for a period of 2 years. This may be the best decision I have ever made in my life, I love teaching people about the great happiness that this gospel brings.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born a Mormon and followed my parents example in going to church and choosing the LDS faith, I had to choose for myself if I wanted to believe in it. It wasn't until high school that I started dealing with trials and obstacles that I never saw coming. It was at that moment that I had to ask myself if the faith that my parents had taught me was true. I had to figure it out for myself, because if it wasn't true then why should I waste my time. I began to read the Book of Mormon, I began to actually pray sincerely to my Heavenly Father. I asked for help with my obstacles I was facing. After that moment I felt it in my heart that I knew the church was true all along, I had many spiritual experiences that preceded this moment that testified to me that the church was true and that God cared about me. Fast forward 4 years and I have realized that those trials I had come across were a blessing in disguise. Without them I would have never really gained the testimony I have now. I have a testimony that the atonement is the greatest gift Christ has given us. We can use it to repent, and change for the better. Gods great plan of happiness is what I strive to live for I cant wait to live with him again and have an eternal family. Serving the people in Birmingham England is the hardest thing I have ever done, but it is all worth it if I can bring someone to the knowledge of this great plan of happiness our God has for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church service every Sunday. Doing my best to read the Bible and Book of Mormon everyday. Pray every day and night to God. Go to seminary at my high school. Following the commandments God has created. Serving a mission for 2 years of my life.
