Hi I'm Kent

I grew up in a small town in Northwest Kansas. I'm an athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a student athlete I often had to balance much of my time between Religion, school, family life, and career. (Normal human being)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because as I look back at my life's short events thus far, I can clearly see the Lord's hand in guiding me to where I am now. I have always been a Mormon, but I have been "converted" to it even more in the last few years. I am a Mormon because I have been shown that this is the only way to get back to heaven (bold statement but it is my belief).

How I live my faith

Living my faith wasn't always the easiest for me. I was one of two members most of my life in three counties and I often didn't choose the right choices. No excuse right? But over the past few years I have tried hard to turn my life around to where I could look back and be grateful for things even the bad choices I made in life because they would have lead me close to my Lord and made me into the man that I wanted to always be. I live in a small rural town that I have been active in and so far set a good example for those that are around me. I now live my faith by being a full time missionary in Texas. This is the closest thing that I have come to that has let me feel this close to God. I am hopefully helping those in my family (of different faiths) understand that what I believe is able to change anyone's life for the better. That is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Basically, the thing that sets us apart from any other religion on this Earth is that we know that God is "the same yesterday, today, and forever" and so he still guides us still through living Prophets (Thomas S. Monson) and we have been given additional scriptures through prophets known as the Book of Mormon (history about the ancestors of the American Indians) . We also know that the power and authority that Christ used to establish his church and preform his miracles has been restored and will remain. Show more Show less
