Hi I'm Brice

I grew up in California. I've been in the church my entirely life. I'm currently serving a mission in Bismarck, North Dakota.

About Me

Did Track, Cross Country, and Soccer in High School. Running is one of my favorite hobbies. Love being outdoors and exploring the woods. Planning on going to College in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel. I believe that no matter the situation, every individual needs to gain a personally testimony. Story of Joseph Smith is perfect example that we need to come unto Christ and ask ourselves. That is exactly what I did, I asked if this gospel is true, and felt it was true. Coming into the true gospel, doesn't make anybody invincible. We will all have trials, and I know when we come unto Christ, we can make it through anything. I know Joseph Smith is a true Prophet, and that he restored the Gospel through Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ, and that it goes hand and hand with the Bible. I know that we can live with our families again, and that there is more to our lives. I have personally seen in my life that this is a true gospel and the love of God.

How I live my faith

Serving a mission, and spreading the Gospel. I believe that service is how we serve our fellow men. Before I left for mission, I was into service in my community through canned drives, as well as community cleanups. Through church, helped fulfill service, through helping others move and yard work.

What is faith?

Brice
Faith is to believe in things which you can't see. Such as you know the sun will rise before seeing it. Faith is essential because we need to show we trust God and have confidence. Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Brice
We have been told by a Prophet to not partake of these substances. We believe that a prophet gets revelation from God and tells the people what needs to be done. Prophet Joseph Smith got revelation from God telling him, that we should not partake of; tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs. God promises us, if we obey his commandments we will be blessed. The church members who first received this change, didn't understand how all of the stuff affected them. Almost 200 years later, we know that all of these substances affect the body and create problems. God gave us bodies and they need to be clean. By following the commandments he has given us, we will gain blessings and be on the right path. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Brice
Starts with the desire to follow Jesus Christ and His commandments. When we use our Faith to Repentance we will have a change of heart. Change of heart is when we change ourselves into harmony with His Will. Once we follow him, we are prepared for Baptism. Baptism is an ordinance, or a promise with our Heavenly Father. That we will follow him and take His name upon ourselves. In return, we may receive His Spirit always when we follow His plan. One of my favorite scriptures about preparing for baptism is Alma 7:15 "Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth beset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism" Show more Show less
