Hi I'm Eleena

Park City, Utah born and raised; I'm an interior designer, rock climber, optimist, full-time missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

People keep saying I'm an adult now -- I work all day long and then work some more -- so it must be true. Who would have thought! If only I was like Peter Pan and could be a kid forever. I graduated from college in 2013 with a Bachelors in Interior Design and I have been pursuing that career for the past year and a half. I absolutely love the concepts of design and creating something beautiful! Goals: I either want to get my Masters and teach design or keep working and see where life takes me. We'll see. Music. Life wouldn't be life without it. Oldies, show tunes, current music, and anything in between. I love my family beyond words! I could talk about them forever, so I probably shouldn't start now. (But I must say I have the cutest nieces and nephews ever!) During my free time, I spend as much time as possible with friends. Who would have thought people who were once strangers could become such close friends. I thank my Father in Heaven for the blessings of good influences in my life -- family and friends. As I look to them, I see their faith and hope and it makes me strive to be a better person. As much as I might say, "I wish I was still a kid", I wouldn't exchange my life for anything. I have had trials, pain, happiness, and joy -- so many experiences that make me who I am. Because of these experiences, I have grown to know who my Heavenly Father is and that I can always rely on Him. During my hard times, I knew He was there helping me through them.

Why I am a Mormon

I know I have a Father who is always there for me, who knows my name, and loves me unconditionally. I am never lost in life and when I start to feel that way, I can turn to God and He hears my every word. There have been many dark times in my life, but the moment I turned back to Him and worked through the fog, I found Christ's light again. He never left me once. I am in awe that we have a Savior who -- out of love for all of Heavenly Father's children -- suffered, died and was resurrected, and lives today. Through Jesus Christ I can be clean from sin and guilt and return to our Father in Heaven after this life. I know why I am here and where I am going. Because of God's love for all of His children, we can be with Him and our families forever. I couldn't imagine life after this without my family and I am grateful for the knowledge that I can be with them always. Through the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, we are all blessed with these any many other truths. We are not alone and we have a home to return to after this. This is why I am a Mormon. I know where I'm going. I can always have happiness when I live the way Christ has shown us. I know Christ's church is restored to this earth and, through His church, we once more have prophets and apostles to lead and guide us closer to Jesus Christ. Through the Book of Mormon, I can learn more about the Character of Christ and what I need to do for salvation and eternal life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I am not perfect by any means, but I strive to be like Jesus Christ and treat others the way he would have others be treated. I serve God's children -- I smile at them, help them, and love them. Service is one of my favorite aspects of my faith. I had extra opportunities to serve a great deal in my last ward. I was able to be a support for those who lived around me and helped them grow closer to Christ. Everyone needs a helping hand sometimes. God wants all to know He loves them. I know by doing small things to help God's children, they will know and feel God's love for them. As I live this way, I find joy everyday. There are hard times, most definitely, but as I strive to serve God's children my trials become lighter and I know all I serve are blessed in the process.
