Hi I'm Ben

I am a Mormon I'm going to be serving a mission in Oaxaca, Mexico from August 2014 to August 2016

About Me

Some of my hobbies and interests include playing and watching sports. I intend to tryout for the BYU football team a year or two after I return from my mission. I like to workout especially lifting weights it's become a passion of mine for the past few years. I like to draw pictures usually whatever comes to my mind. I like to listen to music and play it, I'm not a big music player but I like to mess around and play with instruments I hope to get started on an instrument here and there. I graduated high school May of 2014 at Waterloo High School, I was mostly involved in sports throughout high school mainly being football, and track.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted and raised up in the church at a young age so I never questioned the church or anything but as I started to grow things happened where I questioned to why I was even in the church because I didn't do the things that regular latter day saints do. I soon however had a revelation given to me about why we are here and why this is the true gospel I feel a burning in my chest each and every day because I live to fulfill God's work and invite many to come unto Christ. I chose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe this to be the true church restored to the Earth by a 14 year old boy called to be a prophet by the name Joseph Smith. I have a testimony of the Plan of Salvation, families can be together forever and of the Atonement that Jesus Christ bled and died for all of us. I continue to live everyday to serve my fellow men and to live the way Jesus and God want me to live. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

How I participate in my ward is I have the calling of being a primary teacher which is where I teach the children ages 4-11 an hour each Sunday a different lesson about the gospel and depending on the age how intense the lesson is. I participate with people my age as well every Sunday and Wednesday in lessons and activities that will promote the standards of the gospel and church.
