Hi I'm Beverly

I grew up in Montana.I have 5 children which I stayed home with until all were in school.I then worked with an ophthalmologist.

About Me

I grew up on a farm. I attended college at BYU, studying special education. After marriage we were blessed with 4 sons and 1 daughter. I loved being a stay at home mother. It wasn't easy. We had to watch every penny in order to do it. We were very blessed to be able to do this until all 5 children were in school. I worked for an ophthalmologist and in the grade school as a technician. I love to crochet and be with my family. We have 16 grandchildren, one of which is down syndrome and brings a special spirit to our family. My father converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints just before marrying my mother, who had been a member all her life. My parents never wavered in their commitment to the gospel. I have never wavered either. I have never felt the need to question anything that came from the prophet and apostles. I am grateful for the knowledge I have of why we are here on the earth. Heavenly Father's plan of happiness is real and he has provided it so we can be with him again when we leave this earth. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. They love each one of us. They want us to return to live with them. I love the scriptures, but especially the Book of Mormon. I am daily strengthened by the words in the Book of Mormon. There is an answer for every life problem within it's pages. I am extremely thankful to be a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. My parents were consistently active through their whole lives. They taught me and were an example of how to live a Christ like life. I love the gospel. It gives me purpose in my life. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith saw the Father and the Son. He sacrificed everything to restore the church to the earth under the direction of the Father and Son. This church gives me many, many opportunities to serve others and to love them. When we are in the service of our fellow beings we are in the service of our God. I am happiest when I am doing things for others.

How I live my faith

When I was first married it was frightening to hold callings because I never had before. As each calling came along I accepted with the faith that Heavenly Father would strengthen me and help me fulfill it. He has every time. I have had callings of leadership in the children's organization and the women's organization. I have always loved teaching the children. I feel the most important responsibility I've had is to be a visiting teacher. In visiting teaching I have been assigned 3-7 women to visit and give service to. I have life long friends through the visiting teaching program. I love being able to attend church every Sunday.
