Hi I'm Austin

I'm from a small rural town. I grew up on a ranch, raising sheep, horses, and hay. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student on leave of absence to serve a full time mission. I enjoy everything outdoors. I play basketball and baseball competitively. I love to play football, snowboard, hunt, fish, and ranch. I have a very competitive personality. I am a country boy through and through, raising sheep and horses. I plan on pursuing an agricultural career, most likely in irrigation engineering, with running a small sheep/cattle ranch on the side where I will be able to raise a hard working and tight knit family. I plan to be in service to my Heavenly Father my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have found true happiness. I have found hope through my Savior and all He asks me to do is to follow Him. I'm LDS because I chose to be, I found out for myself that the Book of Mormon was the word of God and through that knowledge I know for a surety that Prophets lead and guide us today.

How I live my faith

I'm a full time missionary serving in Missouri. I get to share the truths that I know, and bare testimony of the Atonement and the Plan of Salvation that has been set forth for all of God's children.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Austin
Faith in Jesus Christ influences my family relationships because through faith we have come to the knowledge of purpose. Purpose in life provides the "why" behind our everyday actions. Knowing our purpose and how to fulfill that purpose is through living the gospel of Jesus Christ, where the principles of faith, repentance, forgiveness, and trust help us bind together and draw closer as a family. Faith in Christ leads to action, acting to become like Him in selfless service to each other. He taught through love, and that love also binds us together as a family. Focusing on others and serving out of love is how we can exercise our faith in Christ, and through that we can bless the lives of those around us, whether that be family or friends.
