Hi I'm Brianna Linford

I have been working with preschool children with autism. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission. I"m a Mormon.

About Me

I have just finished up my Freshman year at Utah State University. I am dual majoring in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While at school, I worked as an instructor at a preschool for children with autism. This was the most fulfilling job I have ever held and one of the most inspiring experiences of my life. I also volunteered at a nearby elementary school, reading with students in a first grade classroom. Through these experiences, I discovered that I love teaching children and watching them discover new things. Working with children is my passion. I enjoy writing poetry, music, and just about anything else. I have been blessed with a gift for writing. Music has always been an important part of my life. It brings my family closer together on a number of levels. I love my family. I am the oldest of five children. My parents are my greatest examples of what I want to become and my younger siblings never fail to make me smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate enough to be born into the Gospel. From the time I was very young, I had a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I grew older, this testimony grew stronger. I have felt the Holy Spirit guide and comfort me more times than I can count. It was during these times that I developed a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel. I have prayed and had it confirmed me that this church is true. I know that this is the restored Gospel and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. I know that Christ lives and that He atoned for the sins of the world. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that The Book of Mormon is true. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet of God on the earth today.

How I live my faith

In my college ward, I received a call to be the ward service leader. As my service committee and I organized ideas for reaching out to individuals in the ward or put together gifts and messages for our ward members, I often witnessed the hand of The Lord in our efforts. I was astounded at how much we were able to accomplish and how many people we were able to reach out to. We would not have been able to achieve our goals without the aid of our Heavenly Father. In my home ward, I was called as a nursery worker for the duration of the summer before I went to college. Now that I have returned home from school for the summer, I have had the blessing of being asked to be a substitute teacher in nursery. I loved spending time with the children in the nursery and I was always inspired by the sweet purity of their spirits. I have now been called to serve as a full-time missionary in the Tennessee, Knoxville Mission. I look forward to my eighteen months of service to my Father in Heaven.
