Hi I'm Samantha

I'm an Irish Dancer. I love music and art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything that has to do with the arts. I've been Irish dancing for almost 6 years and have played piano for 8. I also enjoy singing and acting very much! I just love the feeling of being on stage! Art has also inspired me, just give me paper and a pencil and I'll be happy! Writing as well has impacted my life, I love to write poetry, stories, songs, anything really. I'm very athletic; I dance, play basketball, soccer, volleyball, and swim, but I still love to do my hair and makeup and get dressed up. I'm planning on going to BYU to study nursing! I really hope to be a neonatal nurse one day to help little babies. I also want to get my TCRG to be an Irish Dance teacher and maybe a voice/piano teacher on the side. I love learning and school and absorb everything I can in the world. My favorite subject is Spanish! I love the beautiful language!

Why I am a Mormon

Being born into the Church, I was raised going to Sacrament every Sunday and activities each Wednesday. I got baptized June 14, 2008. I soon realized, though, that I was living on other's testimonies of His church rather than receiving and strengthening my own, so I got to work. I read the Book of Mormon and received the witness through the Holy Ghost that it is true. I started saying my prayers each morning and night and soon after that gained a testimony of the power of prayer. I have grown so much since my baptism and have love every moment since. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true with all my heart. I have seen Christ's hand in my life so much and I've seen it perform miracles in others'. The Atonement is real! I know when I slip up and sin, I can be forgiven because my Savior suffered in Gethsemane and died for me on Calvary! I know the Atonement heals and comforts me too! I can have a bad day or be embarrassed or hurt, but I know I can be made whole again through Jesus Christ. God is real and He loves each and every one of us! We are His children, sent here for a divine purpose! He knows each of us individually, all our strengths and weaknesses, all our triumphs and setbacks. Our Heavenly Father knows us and who we will become. If we come onto Him, we can not fail! I know that as we read our scriptures every day and prayer every morning and night, a sacred bond will be made with Heaven that not even the adversary can break! All we need do is trust him and have faith in His plan for us, and we will be happy. I know the Book of Mormon and Bible are the words of God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and restored this church! Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet of God and if we head his words, we will be saved. I love this church with all my heart. The Temple is the House of the Lord where we can go to receive revelation. I feel the Spirit so strongly when I'm there. I know my Savior lives!!

How I live my faith

Still being in my teenage years, I don't have a specific duty or responsibility to uphold each Sunday, but that doesn't mean I don't participate in church! I babysit for my ward choir each Sunday since I love the kiddos! I learn the choir music on the side so I can still sing in the choir each month. I go to youth each Wednesday and absolutely enjoy it. I love interacting with my friends and amazing leaders there.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Samantha
We believe what is bound on Earth, is bound in heaven. In the Temple, a husband and wife are sealed together through the priesthood for their lives and into eternity. Once they are sealed together, the children they will have together are automatically sealed to them as well. Therefore, if the family members keep their covenants and use the Atonement to it's advantage, they will be able to live together in heaven. Show more Show less
