Hi I'm Connor

I love Life, Laughter, and Family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I do a lot, and am interested in lots of different things. One of the things I love to do most is sing, and I took choir classes all of high school. I also love camping and the outdoors, and make an effort to go often because Utah is so beautiful! One of the reasons I love camping so much is that when you get away from the city and the light pollution, the night sky is incredible!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up a member of the church, but you could say that I had my personal conversion a few years ago. I have gone out on camping trips with the other boys in my ward. We have done a lot of hard things as a group, and I have heard and borne testimony many times around a campfire. As I felt the Spirit and learned more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ by reading the Book of Mormon, I realized that I always knew it was true. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet, and that he translated the Book of Mormon for people today. By living the principles taught in the Book of Mormon, we can come closer to God, and He can help us overcome the trials we are facing, no matter how hard they seem. I know Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that He still lives. I know that He suffered for my sins because He loves me, and that through Him, I can return to the presence of my Heavenly Father. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and will do everything in his power to help me learn and grow in this life, so that I can make right choices and eventually return to him.

How I live my faith

I finished a full time mission in Alabama in November, and am trying to take the things I learned out there and apply them to my life here in Utah. It's really interesting to see how much I've changed, and trying to fit the new me into my old world. Instead of doing full-time missionary service, I'm now planning my future and looking at college. I still do missionary work too, just in different ways! Splits with the missionaries, inviting friends to activities, and doing family history work are ways that I continue to serve as a member missionary.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Connor
Our Father has given us the gift of prayer, and as we are sincere and have faith when we pray, we are able to feel His love and form a meaningful relationship with Him. Also, as you keep His commandments, and read the scriptures, you will grow closer to Him. Even if you only have a desire to know your Heavenly Father, as you try to grow closer to Him, He will strengthen your desire until you have a sure knowledge that He is real, and that He loves you.
