Hi I'm Camille

I grew up in Utah, but now live in Japan. Gods children are amazing...everywhere. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a proud full-time mom and a wife. I love to run and participate in races. Half marathons are my favorite right now, but I have also run 3 full marathons. Spending time with my family outdoors is one of my very favorite things. Since moving to Japan, I have really enjoyed learning the language and exploring our new surroundings. I'm not a big reader, but enjoy a good non-fiction book every now and then. I'm a big Mexican food lover and I'm also a really great singer...in the shower.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. As I reflect back on my life so far I am undoubtedly sure that blessings have come from living the gospel I was taught. Every life contains hardship and trial. How grateful I am for the peace I feel from commitment and prayer. Continuing to choose to follow God and do my very best to abide by his law is a decision I have made. I choose to be a Mormon also because of my knowledge and belief in eternal families. Knowing I can be with them after this life pushes me to do my best. Being a Mormon brings happiness. It allows eternal happiness. Aren't we all aiming for that?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving God anywhere despite a HUGE language barrier. I have served in many callings, but especially love the youth. I gain so much strength watching them make correct choices amongst so much opposition. Here in Japan being a Christian is different. Opportunities to stand up for what you believe come often. I enjoy sharing my belief with friends I have met as well as loving them for who they are. Living my faith means I focus everyday around Jesus Christ. As I meet so many different people I try to treat them as Christ would. I live my faith by being me ALL the time, no matter the situation.
