Hi I'm KC

I grew up in Vancouver, BC - the mountains and ocean are beautiful! Med student come fall 2014, I'm also a happy Mormon :)

About Me

I'm 21 years old and graduating this summer with a BA in Communications and heading to med school this fall. I grew up on the west coast snowboarding everyday and miss it a ton! Definitely a sun worshipper and plan to move to California to do my residency in a few years. When I came to university, I also joined a sorority which helped me transition from high school better and allowed me to make lifelong friendships. I love music of almost every genre and CW comedies/teen fiction novels are my ultimate guilty pleasure.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so grateful to be a member of this church, and I'm a Mormon because of the peace and joy (the spirit) it brings to my daily activities. When I follow the principles of the gospel, I notice a blatant and positive difference in my attitude and perspective compared to times when I was not as closely invested in its principles. The church helps me be kinder, more understanding, positive, hopeful and energetic. It has helped me overcome anxiety and depression, and to have faith in the process of trial and error on the path towards self improvement. I know that Heavenly Father clearly has his own plan for me, seeing that I was an arts student now going into medicine! I've seen His hand in my life too many times to deny His presence, and haven't a single doubt that this gospel is the true church of Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend the singles ward every Sunday to take the sacrament and participate in various meetings. Once a month I also teach a class about the gospel with topics that vary every week. I go to activities put on by the church every once in a while and love doing service for the community whenever we get the chance! Ie. picking strawberries and garlic at the farms, donating blood, and volunteering at the church broadway pageant.
