Hi I'm Gary

I am a printer and a firearms instructor.

About Me

Most importantly, I and my sweet wife of forty years are parents of three children and six (soon to be seven) grandchildren. Each of our children have found wonderful spouses and are doing a terrific job raising our grandchildren. Fortunately, they all live within forty-five minutes of us so we can visit them often. I own a flexographic printing company that prints labels, film packaging and stickers for scrapbooking companies. We are also one of the largest online in stock label providers on the Internet. My sons and I also have a company where we train people in the safe and effective use of firearms, and sell firearms and related items. I am also on the advisory board of one of the largest firearm training companies in the country.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provides many opportunities to serve, both members and non-members of the Church. The tithing (10% of our annual income) is used to help people around the world who are suffering from a variety of causes, including poverty, illness and catastrophes. We believe that all people of the earth are children of God and so we are literally brothers and sisters and have a responsibility to help each other out to the extent that we can. The purpose of life is to live so that, upon death, we will be found worthy to return to the presence of Heavenly Father and live as brothers and sisters. The trials we experience are part of "refining" us so that we will be worthy of that goal. I have a testimony from the Holy Ghost that God lives, that Jesus is his son, that they are active in our lives. Joseph Smith was a prophet. He saw and spoke with God and Jesus and through him, they restored the Church of Jesus Christ (the one that Jesus organized while he was upon the earth) to the earth in these latter days. Christ's power, the priesthood, is here on the earth and living prophets and apostles hold that power and communicate God's will to us. The truths of the gospel are a great comfort to us as we go on our journey through life. Knowing the purpose of our life on earth, as revealed through living prophets, gives meaning to our life. I am so thankful for that revealed knowledge.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church, I often teach different groups on a variety of subjects, from Old Testament, New Testament and the Book of Mormon. I am a merit badge counselor for the Boy Scouts of America and I am a big proponent of home and family preparedness. I have a ham radio license and often serve the community and our church.
