Hi I'm Mykaela

I grew up in Boise, ID. I love sports, outdoor activities and taking pictures of sunsets. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a full-time missionary in the Arizona Scottsdale Mission. Before my mission I was studying at BYU. I'm still unsure what I'm going to major in and what I want to do for a career. I have a passion for sports and the outdoors. I played basketball in high school and I like to attempt to play just about anything else! I attended almost all BYU athletic events. I'm a huge Cougar fan! I especially enjoyed cheering on the men's basketball and volleyball teams. I love hiking, biking, kayaking, boating and admiring the beauty that's all around me and I try to capture it all on my camera. I have the most fun doing these things when it's with my family. I love my family so much and I love to spend time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because of the happiness the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me. I know why I'm here on this Earth and I know that my life has a purpose. I know that my Father in Heaven loves every single one of us and wants us to return to Him. Because of His Son we have an example to follow and the opportunity to erase our mistakes. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and living its principles helps me and guides the decisions in my life so that one day I may return to live with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ. I am trying always to serve and help those around me. Every day I pray and read the scriptures which help me to strengthen my faith and my testimony. Right now I am living my faith by sharing it all day every day for 18 months as a missionary. As a missionary I share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and help others to increase their faith in Him.
