Hi I'm Ant Gawler

I live in the North of England and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a introverted person who has a close knit group of friends who are like a second family to me. I am the oldest of 3 children and have lived in and around the same area my entire life. I have a love of all things nerdy along with ice hockey. I enjoy the cold but not a fan of hot weather. I enjoy reading, music, films, having fun with others as well as trying to be the best person I can possibly be. I have the dream of moving and living in Canada. I do promoting work for musician friends of mine from the UK and Canada.

Why I am a Mormon

After befriending a young lady in Texas in 2013 over the internet through a mutual musician friend, we talked and I found out that she was a member of The Church. After conversing for a few weeks I agreed to read the Book of Mormon. At the time of starting to read I had a few minor problems in my life, nothing serious but still troubling, As I read the Book of Mormon each day I would be troubled by different things but which every chapter I was reading that day would relate to how I was feeling which was my first inkling that something was different about these scriptures. So after reading it from cover to cover over the space of a couple months I realised that I wanted to know more & that this wasn't just another book of stories. So that is when I spoke to the Missionaries and I had my lessons learning about all the important points that would be the start of my new journey into the church. I was baptised in 2014 and am still learning and becoming more Christ-like in my life. I know that The Book of Mormon is true, That Joseph Smith was chosen by God and Jesus Christ to rebuild Christs Church in these Latter-Days and that the Prophet is the one and only true leader, chosen by God, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life following Christ like principles. Always been a loving and giving person, both physically and emotionally. Being their for others as a friend, offering advice or just being a listening ear. Since joining the Church and knowing that it is true I try to impart a small portion of those beliefs and teachings into my daily life hoping that this small act will cause those in my life to help others or to want to learn more.
