Hi I'm Jennifer Sherman

I am passionate, in love with music, on the pursuit of the highest education and fulfillment in life, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Since I was a child I've always loved music, in particular singing. I was able to attend an arts school for the vocal program and I loved every minute of it. Now, I have completed my first year of university for Early Childhood Education and am preparing to leave for my mission in August 2014 to Alberta. I can't wait to go back to school but I think I'm going to go into social work instead when I get back because that's something I think I would enjoy more. And to me life is meant to be enjoyed so my job has to bring me happiness and fulfilment. Whenever I feel sad or realize that I'm not as happy as I should be, I like to blast some good music and dance around the house or something, either that or take a nice car ride with the windows open. I hate feeling sad I feel like its a waste of time. And the thing that brings me most happiness are my family, my amazing friends, and the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? There's not really much to it. While it took me a while to figure this out myself, I do know that this is the true church. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel on earth because Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him what he was to do. The book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and I have read it and I know that it is true. I would have to say, one of the biggest reasons that I am Mormon, is because of the happiness it beings me. It makes me a better person. It provides me with the knowledge that this life isn't the only thing we get, that we can live again with our families for eternity. I know that Heavenly Father knows who I am and that he loves me and cares for me and blesses me in so many ways. I am a daughter of God, a latter day saint, and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith how I think everyone does. I try to be a good person, help others when they need it, give thanks to Heavenly father for all the things he blesses me with. In particular i'm kind of in charge if this thing called indexing for the women in my ward and that's basically where I try to get everyone to sign up for indexing and work on the records. Its a form of family history work but its just not for your family its for the world. It's pretty cool when you think about it. Also, I pay tithing, which is a really important thing in our church. Its not always easy to give 10% of my earnings but it is always worth it. All in all I try to be a good example to those around me and participate in the many activities and opportunities of service that I am faced with.
