Hi I'm David Johnson

I am David Johnson I love the Lord, I love to play musical instruments, I love my family, I love frisbee and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am David Johnson, I am an average American kid who grew up mainly in Oregon, but I have also lived in Utah and Illinois. I am an eagle scout and love to be outside. I am the oldest of 9 children 6 boys and 3 girls, and even though it can be rough I wouldn't want it any other way. One of my favorite activities to do is to play Ultimate Frisbee. I play for a club but I also like just playing with my friends. Along with Ultimate Frisbee I enjoy soccer and tennis. I also play the guitar, the ukulele, and the piano and am a decent swing dancer. I served a two year mission in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. Those two years were two of the greatest years of my life. Right now I am working on my major in biology at byui and I am loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people might ask if the reason that I am a member is that my parents are members, but I am a member of this church because I know that I is the only true church on the earth today, and that even if my whole family left the church I would remain a member because I have learned for myself that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that through the power of god that he restored this church. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on the earth today. I know that we have currant prophets and apostles, and that they receive revelation from god on our behalf and that lead the church the way god would if he was here, and that it is only through the atonement of Christ that we can be saved. I have a testimony that our Heavenly Father loves us and that he wants us to be happy. It is because of the things that I have learned for myself that I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best every day to set an example for all around me, especially my 8 younger siblings. I am also involved in the community through scouting, and also by doing occasional work for the public library. I also have participated in the national day of service the last few years, and as a result have helped the church become closer to the community. I participate in church by working hard in all of my callings including being in the stake Sunday school presidency, a home teacher, and a instructor in elders quorum.
