Hi I'm Brittany Fisher

I'm a typical Canadian girl. I love pizza, camping and animals. I just got called to the Missouri St. Louis Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I was born and raised in a small town in Alberta, Canada and I still live here today. I have a mom and a dad, one older sister, an older brother and a younger brother. I also have a Boston terrier/Pug cross named Baxter who I love dearly. Throughout my junior high and high school life I dedicated my free time to Basketball. I believe basketball is the best sport on the planet. I also really enjoy long distance running. Running outside relaxes me and gives me a time to ponder and reflex on life or whatever comes to mind. I have naturally curly hair, my favourite colour is purple, my favourite animal is a dog, my favourite season is spring, and my favourite dessert in cheesecake. I love anything Disney, I love camping, I love singing and music, and I love my family. I just finished my first year of college and I took a Therapeutic Recreation program, which was very interesting. But now I decided to take a break from college and serve a full time mission! I got called to the Missouri St. Louis Mission and I report to the MTC on September 24th. I love the Gospel and I am so grateful for the life I have been blessed with! I am excited to share this truth with others!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. I've been taught this gospel my who life. I am a Mormon because the truthfulness of the gospel gives me strength and hope in my life. It makes me happy. I lived in a small town with not a lot of members. I graduated with two other Mormon girls in a class of 80. They were my best friends and we stayed strong together! I don't know If I could have stayed strong in the church if I didn't have them. But I know what it is like to not have the spirit with you. To be in situations or places where the spirit can not stay. It doesn't feel right. I try my best to stay away from those situations. I am a Mormon because the standards that Mormons follow are good and safe. Some of the things Mormons value is healthy eating, modestly, virtuous lives, clean language and hard work. Mormons strive to be Christ-like and love others. Even if I died and found out that the church wasn't true, I would not regret the way I lived because of the righteous values that this church lives by. Also, The teachings just make sense. They are simple and help guide us back to live with our Heavenly Father again. I've never felt bad or wrong about the teachings of this gospel. Everyone has agency. The Doctrines and teachings isn't forced on us. We can choose to follow what we want. Missionaries don't force people to go to church, they invite others to come unto Christ and share the truth so that everyone can know of this wonderful gospel that has been restored to the Earth! I'm so grateful for the Mormon church and for our Heavenly Father who loves and knows each and everyone of his children so personally. He knows me better than I know myself! He sees the true potential in me and helps me get through my everyday trials. I know that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to this earth to Atone for our sins. I know that Jesus Christ loves us so much that he died so all of us could be saved. I am eternally grateful for Christ's love. Without a doubt, I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

In my Young Single Adults ward I was called as a ward missionary. This is my first actually calling as an adult. This calling actually helped me decide to serve a full time mission! It gave me opportunities to see what full time missionaries actually do! I got to help plan activities to help bring out investigators, I got to help missionaries by going to missionary discussions with them and participating in them, I got to teach classes in sunday school and I just recently got to teach a little bit about the Book of Mormon at our church tour to people who would come through! It was a great opportunity and blessing to be a ward missionary.
