Hi I'm Katie

I love cereal. I love my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of five siblings, and I love my family so much. I love to play almost any sport and tend to be somewhat competitive. I also love cereal. Any kind, any time, any place (even the crumbs at the bottom). Fruity Dino-bites mixed with Cinnamon toast crunch is especially delicious. I attended BYU Provo last year and loved it! Learning is one of the best parts of being on earth. I love how much knowledge is available to us simply by clicking some buttons! Soon I will be serving a mission in Italy for the Church, and I am so excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a huge fan of Joy. The LDS church has been a source of true joy for me. Joy for me has come from knowing families can be together forever, from service, from the atonement of Jesus Christ and from the Book of Mormon. Because Jesus Christ's Church is restored on the earth, we also have the proper authority to baptize. A prophet receives direction from God and leads and guides the church. Temples offer the blessings of Heaven on earth. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly the church Christ restored when He was on the earth. The teachings in it bring true joy- joy that is not fleeting, but everlasting. Being a Mormon is not always easy, but again and again it has proved to be worth it.

How I live my faith

To live my faith I have participated in many hours of service within the church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not have paid clergy. The time and effort we put into helping the Church is all volunteer. I have spent many hours participating in service projects, visiting those in my ward, teaching lessons to members, and planning activities. When Jesus Christ walked the earth, His main goal was to serve others. He spent hour upon hour healing the sick, teaching, and helping those around Him. I have tried to live my faith by following Jesus Christ's example.
