Hi I'm Pat Crist

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. I joined the church in 5th grade. I served a mission in Taiwan from '85-'86. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm and Industrial Electrician at a waste water plant. My wife and I have 4 sons. I'm a Boy Scout Leader and have been involved in Scouting for the last 20 years or so in various positions. I enjoy camping with my family and the scouts. I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy novels in my spare time. Despite living in the desert i try to garden a little in my back yard.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I joined the church when I was in 5th grade, when I was in high school I "fell away" from the church. I was 19 when a brother in my ward reached out to me and brought me back. I soon decided to serve a mission and was called to serve in the Taiwan, Taipei mission. I've been active since then, and although there have been struggles and times of pain in my life, there has been mostly joy. My wife and I have been blessed with 4 wonderful sons, 2 of which have served missions for the Lord and 2 who look forward to their chance to serve. Heavenly Father has blessed me with many tender and precious moments in my life. I've felt the Spirit testify to me of the reality of the Atonement and his love for me.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working with the young men in Scouting. Currently I work with the 11 yr old boys to help them achieve the rank of 1st Class in scouting before they reach 12.
