Hi I'm Russ

I'm a husband, father and a grandpa. I love flying airplanes and traveling. I'm a big Redsox fan and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the father of 3 wonderful children and 4 grandchildren. My life is filled with lots of family activities and it's my family that has brought me the greatest happiness in my life. I have been a pilot for American Airlines for 27 years and it has given me the opportunity to travel throughout the world and experience many different cultures. I have lived in Colleyville, Texas for almost twenty years and I enjoy being active, home projects, and water skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Catholic faith but never really made a connection with the religion. After I graduated from college, I was struggling to find focus with my desired goals. It was at this time that I met my wife. She introduced me to the LDS church and her example caused me to want to learn more about her religion. While attending church with her, I experienced first hand, Christians who lived their religion every day of their lives. After months of reading and studying I put the promise of Moroni to the test and received a witness that the Book of Mormon was another testament of Jesus Christ. Following the principles of the church has brought me a life full of blessings and a understanding of what my Heavenly Father has in mind for me.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am assisting our full time missionaries with their service. My greatest love has been to work with the youth in our church. I have had the opportunity to go on numerous high adventure trips with our young men. I have seen boys become men and men become husbands and fathers. My service in the church has provided me with balance in my life and help to focus on my responsibilities as a husband and father.
