Hi I'm Mahonri Rodriguez

In Utah Valley is where I was moved and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days! I am simply just a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently 20 years old (Ewwww), and i'm the middle child in a family of five. I have two older brothers, two younger sisters and we love each other. I graduated from High School in the summer of 2014. I am currently serving a mission in the Carlsbad California Mission! Before I left on a mission I loved hanging out with friends, gaming it up just like most dudes and making videos as a hobby! I plan on majoring in Communications at Brigham Young University and afterwards I plan on pursuing my dream of creating my own Cartoon to make a world a happier place!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and was baptized at the age of 8 years old. My first stumbling block happened around when I was 15 years old. At the time I was given the choice to choose between two high schools and with much prayer and meditation I made my decision on the high school I wanted to attend to. After two years of making my choice, I felt like I made the wrong decision and I often felt mad and sad that I made the wrong choice. I was mad at God for a time because I felt like I never did anything bad to deserve what was happening to me but pretty soon I got so sad that I felt like nothing was getting better that I almost took away my life, I didn't think God cared about me. During this time I stopped praying because I felt like my prayers weren't being answered, I continued to come to church because I was taught that it was good for you but I never knew why but it all changed when a friend of mine who I looked up told me to read Mosiah Chapter 24 Verse14. When I read this scripture, I could recognized for the first time that the Spirit was testifying to me that God does live and that he is always there for me. After that I changed my way of thinking, read the scriptures more and I was honestly happy about my life. No matter what happens to us, I can promise you that God truly does live! We are his Children and we wants the best for us and he's not sad when we mess up and fall down. When we apply Jesus's teachings we can truly be happy and feel the true joy that his gospel brings us. This why I am a Mormon and this is why I am serving the Lord.

How I live my faith

As a missionary I live my faith by the hope that maybe the person walking down the street will accept the gospel, or the person just relaxing on the stair's will want to hear from us! I also live my faith by trying my best to be like the Savior in everything that I do and in every way possible.
