Hi I'm Skylar Williams

I'm from Kaysville, Utah. I love sports, run cross country/track. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I have enjoyed playing all sorts of sports growing up! I have ran cross country and track for Davis High. It has taught me many things, as you can so easily compare it to spiritual things, and has made me a better person. I love to draw, sing, listen to music, and play instruments, although I may not be very good at them I still love doing them. My music choices are very broad, I pretty much love all of it, Michael Jackson, John Mayer, Josh Groban, Frank Sinatra, Hans Zimmer, Oldies to Now, I just love it all! I love to hang out with friends, but I also love having my alone time. I think one of the greatest things is watching a movie in my basement with the AC blaring and it been completely dark. I think it would be cool if I could have Morgan Freeman narrate my life and have movie music playing as I went about doing whatever I do!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the happiness that it brings me! In times that I need to be lifted up and comforted I always find my Savior Jesus Christ reaching out his hand to help me up. There is absolutely no better feeling then when you realize the truthfulness of this gospel and how it can help and influence your life so greatly! There have been many times where things haven't gone MY way or the way I wanted them to go, and it was frustrating, and I wasn't able to understand at that point why it had to happen that way. But as I am able to look back now and see where I've come from, I know that God was guiding me to where he needed me and wanted me to be, and in the end, it was much greater then where I would've gone with the other path. I know that as we follow Christ and be representatives of him, we will be able to come out of our struggles, out of our trials, our weaknesses will be made strengths and we will become what God needs us to become and what we wanted to become before this life.

How I live my faith

I am now a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I absolutely love teaching and bringing people into the gospel. It's the best feeling you can ever have! Back at home I always attended church on Sundays. I attended seminary, and I tried to do things that would bring me closer to God. . Being part of quorum presidencies, i've tried to faithfully fulfill my calling and be an example to those around me. Daily prayer and scripture study has helped me out a lot. I can definitely tell the difference when I haven't done those things that day or I maybe haven't fully invest myself in it, then when I have. As I've participated in sports I've learned that being a good sport goes a long way. Even when things haven't gone my way, I've tried to show the best sportsmanship I can, and congratulate those that did better then me. Although at times I mess up, and I fall a little bit short, I know that through the Atonement we can be cleansed and become more like our savior Jesus Christ.
