Hi I'm Cesar

I was born in Lima, Peru. I'll be serving in the California Los Angeles Mission for two years starting in July 2014. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love soccer and enjoy the summer. I recently graduated high school and will be serving a mission in Los Angeles, California. When I come back I am planning to go to college and eventually become a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because there is joy and happiness to know we have a saviour who has died for us so that we can return to God again. I preach the gospel to others so that they can enjoy the happiness that comes through Jesus Christ. We will all be ressurected one day, and if we have faith in Jesus Christ, repent, get baptized by immersion, recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and endure to the end, we will live in everlasting happiness and will be exalted and live with our families for eternities.

How I live my faith

I've helped organize youth activities in my stake such as firesides and hikes. Its been fun working with the youth. I also got the oppurtinity to teach sunday school class to kids who are between the age of 12 and 13. I tought them every other sunday, switching between my teaching companion and me. I got to teach them lessons from preach my gospel to prepare for my mission. It helped me be able to teach with more confidence.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Cesar
Joseph Smith was the first prophet in our time period. As a young man, he wanted to know which church was the true church. He came across a scripture in the bible, James 1:5, which reads, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shal be given him." When he was 14, he went to pray alone in a grove. He prayed sincerely, asking which was the church he should join. As he prayed, there was a pillar of light that descended over his head and he saw two personages, God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. God called Joseph by name, and pointed to his right, saying "This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" Joseph was told that none of the churches were true. Joseph became a prophet of the Lord and restored the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He translated the golden plates which eventually came to be known as the Book of Mormon.
