Hi I'm Tina

I am from Utah and have spent my whole life here. I'm a new convert and, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a newly wed. I met my hubby on an online dating site. Together we have two doggies. We both share a great love of camping and the mountains. We also love to read. I love reading religious books and Christian romance novels (the clean kind with a hint of religion in them.) My idea of a perfect day is going to the mountains with my hubby and doggies for a picnic and bringing a good book along.

Why I am a Mormon

I have spent a great deal of my life looking for the right church. I went to a few, and got the same feeling every time. I felt like something was missing. When I was in high school I started feeling like I was being pointed to the L.D.S church. I even participated in some of the church programs with my friends who were in the church. However, I never went to an actual sacrament meeting with any of them. I was afraid. I have people in my family who are strongly against the L.D.S. church. So I tried looking into other churches once again. About a year ago the feeling got stronger. I finally decided to actually look into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I kept it a secret though. I had a cousin who had joined the church a few years ago and got greatly miss treated by some of our family members. I started my investigation by reading a biography about Joseph Smith. To be honest, I thought that I would read the book and find him to be a fraud. I got half way through the book when it hit me. I had this very indescribable feeling. I knew in my heart and soul that it was true. I felt so amazing. I felt warm and happy. For the first time in my life I felt the Spirit. I knew then that this church was the true and right church and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of the Lord. After that I realized that I couldn't hide it any more. I wrote my friend, who lives a ways away from me, and told her about my studies, findings, and my want to attend a church meeting. To my amazement she wrote back saying that she wanted to take me to church!! So we planned the day!! It was the best day ever!! It was my 1 year anniversary to my hubby, I got to see my best-friend, and I attended church for the first time. The feeling I got was amazing. I felt Him there. I love it so much!! Every time I go I feel the Spirit there. I had to share this with my hubby. He got baptized 3 months after I did. Reading and praying got me my answer, I am so grateful for being guided by Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying. I love reading and studying. Each day I make sure to read the scriptures twice a day. In the morning I read by myself and in the evening my hubby and I read together. I also love to read other books by the church, like church history. Every Saturday we read the lesson for Sunday together. We also try to attend every sacrament, and all of our church meetings. When we cannot attend them (for work reasons, etc.) we try to do still keep the Sabbath focused Heavenly Father and the Savior, by watching the church educational movies, etc.
