Hi I'm Kenzie

I was born into an LDS family. I went my own way and made my own choices when I turned 13 and came back at 19. I'm a MORMON.

About Me

I grew up playing a crybaby sport as some call it. That's right, I was a soccer player, and still love to cleat up and get out on the field every now and then. I picked up volleyball when i moved away to college and have fallen in love with a completely different sport than the younger me planned on. I also love being outdoors. If you put a gun in my hands, I will smile for days. On the days where I can borrow my friends bow for a few shots you can bet I'm doing that as well. Camping and nature are such big stress relievers for me. Also, I am very afraid of the dark, unless I focus on the stars. Stars keep me calm. (:

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. I was baptized at 8 years of age just like my siblings and parents. Going to church was always a struggle for me and my family. At the age of 13 I decided I was done going to church and lived my life in a way that went against my better judgement. I strayed and wandered until I was 19. I felt a strong desire to serve a mission for my church. I turned my life around completely and it wasn't until I was almost 20 years old that I became truly converted to this Gospel. I believe that everything I went through is a part of my plan. I know that my pathway is held in the hands of my Father in Heaven, and only he knows it right now. I trust in Him and the love I know he has for me and my future. I feel God's love in everything that I do. I feel his love for others as well. I know the power of the Atonement and what it can do for us if we let it. It is marvelous. Christ never turns his back on us. He is always there waiting for us to reach out and take his constantly outstretched hand. So do it. Turn to him in your weakest moments and he will make you strong. Turn to him in your happiest times and he will rejoice with you. Turn to him when you are lost and feeling alone, he will comfort and guide you. He loves you, just as he loves me. I have learned that a thousand times over. My Father in Heaven and my brother, Jesus Christ, love me infinitely and unconditionally. That will never change. I am filled with excitement at the day that I am rejoined with two of the most incredible men in my life. I can tell you that having lived on both sides of this metaphorical fence, the side with the Gospel is my favorite. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth. This I KNOW is true.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings each week, as well as attend Family Home Evenings in my singles ward. I look for ways to share my testimony with those less-actives and non-members. I strive to be an example to my friends and family.
