Hi I'm Krystall Greenwell

I am from California and Texas. I'm a student at BYU in Provo Utah. I'm an athletic training major and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have a little brother and a little sister so it is up to me to pave the way. I grew up in Sacramento California, but went to high school in Bastrop Texas and now I'm a student at BYU in Provo Utah. A big part of my life is that I absolutely love sports! In high school I played volleyball and softball, but I'm willing to try anything new.The way the body functions and heals simply amazes me. There is so much that has to go just right and yet we can't control. The body just does it! This love of sports and the human body lead me to my career path of being an athletic trainer. I have been a student athletic trainer at BYU for just over 7 months, but have been involved with athletic training for over 4 years. This is my passion. There is nothing better than being able to help an athlete get back into the game and play their hardest.

Why I am a Mormon

I have often wondered who I would be if I wasn't Mormon and it is almost impossible for me to do. I can't separate who I am and the gospel. It is a part of me as much as my right arm is a part of my body. I would be a hypocrite if I denied this church. I didn't gain my testimony in one big moment. It came gradually and through time. The Lord has shown me through experiences and people in my life that I am a child of God and that He loves me.

How I live my faith

Being a latter-day saint has not always been easy. There were multiple times while growing up that I had to stand up for myself and endure criticism, but by doing what I should I was able to stand strong. I read my scriptures often and pray daily. I am a seminary graduate and have received my young women medallion. I am currently a ward missionary in my BYU YSA ward. I try to serve whenever I see an opportunity and I exercise my faith daily. In doing these things my testimony of this gospel has grown tremendously. It is important for me to have a strong belief in Christ because my career is not always the most uplifting. In working with sports sometimes an eternal view is lost and all is focused on the moment, but because I know who I am and what is right I am able to stay close to the straight and narrow.
