Hi I'm Connie Collins

I have been a member of the Liberty, Texas ward for over 5 years now. My son, Brian Burrell has also joined so I go more now.

About Me

I have been to every church available in the outside of several areas of Liberty County. This is the only church I have come to that is a family. They are the same in the church as they are out of the church. I love my family, it has taken me many years to quit smoking, coffee, etc. but I feel so much better an smell better. The people have surrounded me with love and nobody judges you for anything. If you ask their advice, they will give it to you. I have learned to pray to Our Heavenly Father, driving down the road, or anywhere else I find the need to talk to him. I still have trouble saying Heavenly Father, because it was always God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. I know he answers our prayers in his time and what does not always seem to work out, there is a reason because he has something else for you to do. In Jesus name, we are blessed each day of our life, and when my son joined my (crazy) church he said, it has really made a difference in our lives. I thank our Heavenly Father, for all he has done for us, finding the right place for us and for the family members that won't come with us.to change their minds, and let them feel what is right in their heart, In Jesus name, Amen

Why I am a Mormon

Everything I said in the last two spaces is why I am a Mormon, I was taking care of kinfolks, and I lived in the trashiest trailer when Troy Campbell and Trevor Thornton came into my life and then all the elders over the years. Now Brian has sisters come to see him. That is a real blessing. I know this church is True. I do believe Joseph Smith saw the people an that they told him what to do, an I believe we have a living prophet today. I know when the world tries to take everything from me or my son like where we live at the moment or how we are going to find somewhere to go with all our entourage, it may not be in our time or the landlords limits, but we are doing the best we can with little to work with. But I have a large family, I am not an only child anymore.

How I live my faith

I have not been really good about living my faith. I did quit coffee and smoking, but rarely do I try to talk to anybody about it. I was in a store today and actually mentioned it to a guy. He thought his church was judging him, so I told him to come to our church. We do not judge. I try to read and write, keep journals of the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible. My son, Brian is my rock. I have never had or wanted a calling so far. I still go to Doctrine And Principles with my son. Instead of staying for Sunday School. I really haven't joined the women. I could say I don't have time because I was going to school but someone else can say I work all day, I come home and cook, then clean up, have family time and study scriptures or do whatever paperwork they may need for their job or school. I have no reason I just can't run on that scale without sleeping all day after about 2 busy days. I will just have to pray harder about it.
