Hi I'm Shaqaila Uelese

I am a Māori/Samoan Psychology Student and an accomplished pianist. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the eldest of three children, both sides of my parents family are members. I am a Psychology/English student studying at university. I am a Pianist and Composer. I love playing the piano and sharing the gospel through Music.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the church is true and therefore try my best to stay true to the church. I love Jesus Christ and believe in his gospel. I am witness of the truthfulness of this gospel, I wouldn't waste my time if I thought this wasn't true! I am a Mormon because I believe the Book of Mormon is true. Being a Mormon has helped me to know my purpose in life and therefore allow heavenly father to direct me in what I should do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the way I speak and act around my friends and in public. I live my faith by standing up for what I believe in whether it be refusing to attend clubs or walking out of movies that aren't appropriate. I live my faith by listening and sharing music which has no profanity in it and is uplifting only. I share my faith by sharing the gospel with friends when appropriate.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Shaqaila Uelese
The scriptures are evidence of God's love for us. Heavenly Father speaks to us his children through the scriptures. They were written for all men and women who will walk the earth and are timeless. You can receive peace and assurance from the scriptures as they help you make decisions through life. Scriptures bring you joy as the Holy Ghost testifies that what you read is true. You learn something new every time you read the scriptures. You will receive light and new knowledge but above all you feel an overwhelming sense of love from Heavenly Father as you read words given to His prophets from him. Reading the Scriptures goes hand in hand with prayer. I testify that when you pray about what you've read with real intent and integrity, the Holy Ghost does tell you in your heart that what you have read is true. Show more Show less

In whom should we have faith?

Shaqaila Uelese
We should have faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. We should trust in God's plan for us and have faith that Jesus Christ can help us through the atonement to change and progress as we try to be more christ like everyday. We should have faith in the Saviour who died for us so we may live again with our Heavenly Father. We should have faith that we can do anything through Jesus Christ according to the will of our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
