Hi I'm Irelan Peine

I was born and raised in Southern Utah. I was the Valedictorian of my high school class, and I'm about to serve a mission.

About Me

I am about to go on a mission to Taiwan, Taipei, and I am beyond excited. I love to read, mainly fiction and fantasy, but I'm open to most things. I love to swim, dance, and ride bikes. I also love to shoot my shotgun, ride 4-wheelers, and repel often. I also am quite passionate with roller skating, ice skating, skiing (both on water and snow,) and love to be at the lake. Ironically though, I do not love the sun, but prefer rain and clouds, which are both rare where I live. I am the youngest in my family, I have my mom and dad, and an older sister, who is my best friend! I also have a pet Shih Tzu dog, and I love her quite a lot. I have been going to college, where I have been doing generals, and been mostly undecided about what I wanted to study. But I think I'm going into history, since I kind of love the subject. I also enjoy playing video games on my family's Wii, or surfing the internet.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (mormons) and so I've always had it in my life. I did have a time in my life when I questioned if it was the true church, or if I should be doing something else, but I found that I knew that what I had been taught my entire life was the truth, and that I was already a member of the true church. I know without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church on the world today with the full and complete Gospel restored. That the keys of the priesthood are restored in our church, and that our current prophet is a living prophet for this day and age. I know we continue to receive relevant revelations for this day through our prophet that will help us to achieve eternal life. I know my family can be together forever because we have been sealed by a priesthood holder with the right keys and authority to do so. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us, every person who has lived, is living, or will live, and that he wants the best for each and every one of us. I know he sent his son, Jesus Christ to die for us that we might live forever, and that He, Jesus Christ, was the Messiah.

How I live my faith

I try to be as faithful as I can be everyday. I serve as a pianist for my young single adults ward right now, and I'm on the music committee and the activities committee. I've served in other callings throughout the years as a youth leader, and I find that my faith increases through each calling.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Irelan Peine
We do not worship Joseph Smith Jr, or any other prophet at any times. We worship our Eternal Father, and His son, Jesus Christ. We look to the prophet for guidance and with reverence, but he isn't an idol we worship. Show more Show less
