Hi I'm Hannah Nelson

I grew up in Fresno, CA. I go to BYU ID and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Fresno, California and I currently live there when I'm not up in Rexburg, Idaho for school.I'm an accounting major and I love math. I love anything to do with music. I played the piano since 2nd grade, and I love to sing. I swam in high school and I loved it. Lately I've gotten really into running. It's incredibly freeing and I find a lot of enjoyment in it. I love doing anything outside and active. Hiking, biking, and just being outside makes me so happy. My family is my number one priority. I was blessed with the most amazing parents and a little brother. We support each other and love each other and I couldn't ask for anything better.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was blessed to be born into and LDS family. For a long time I relied on my parents testimonies and believed what they believed because they were my parents. Once I got older, I started to think for myself. When I was a teenager I really started to understand what the atonement was and realized how to apply it to my life. I discovered the importance of it and realized how much joy and happiness it brought to peoples' lives. The Savior died for us on the cross and felt all our pains so that we could live with Heavenly Father again. He didn't only do it for that reason though. Because of His sacrifice we have comfort when we are sad and hurt. I am forever grateful for this and even though I could never really repay Him, the least I can do is live the gospel and try to share it with others. Due to the fact that my immediate family is LDS, I was able to be sealed to them. This means that I get to be sealed to them for time and all eternity. Families are forever. This is so amazing. I love the Book of Mormon. There is so much to learn from it. It contains so much goodness and light. I love this gospel and it brings me more happiness than anything else. Someday I want to be married in the temple and sealed with my future family. This gospel is the only way to obtain true and substantial happiness.

How I live my faith

I have attended church every Sunday since I was born. I have attended LDS camps and seminars since I was young. I attended early morning seminary high school and it was a difficult thing to do, but it made my faith so much stronger. Starting the day out with a spiritual experience made high school a lot easier than it could've been.
