Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in Utah. I am an average person with no exceptional awards or merits, but I've found my purpose. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There isn't a lot to say about me. I enjoy reading. I just graduated High School. I have plans to become a computer engineer. I have recieved a misison call to the Ecuador Guayquil Mission. I plan to go on that mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Some would say that I am a Mormon because I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That wouldn't be true though. I am not a Mormon because my parents taught/told me to be. I am not a Mormon because I've always been a Mormon. I AM a Mormon because I KNOW, without a doubt, that this Church is TRUE. At first I went through the motions. I went to church because I was told to. I read my scriptures because I was told to. However, then something changed. In response to some trials and afflictions that I experienced, I had to find out for myself if this church was really the true church. For the first time ever, I searched the scriptures with purpose. For the first time ever, I prayed unto my Heavenly Father in earnest prayer to ask if this was true. For the first time ever, I did everything with purpose--the desire to truly know if this was true. In this process, the process of consistent search for truth, I gained a testimony of this church--the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I felt God's immense and unchanging love for me, His child, enfold me. As I sought truth, truth was given unto me. I would never have recieved the witness that I do, however, if I had not been consistent in my search for truth. I gained the testimony that I do now because I read the scriptures with an earnest attempt to know if it was true. I wouldn't have gained my testimony if I had not dropped to my knees on many occasions to earnestly ask God if he was really there. In short, I gained my testimony of this Church by earnestly seeking answers and acting on the answers recieved.

How I live my faith

I try to be obedient as possible to the commandments which I have been given. I read my scriptures and pray daily. I try to improve day by day. I try to be a better person today than I was yesterday.
