Hi I'm Marcelo

I grew up in Argentina. I love to play and teach music. I'm serving a mission in Houston, Texas, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I will be attending college to earn a business degree after my mission. I enjoy playing music, and play the upright bass, bass guitar, viola, tuba, and percussion (back-line and mallet.) I've had the opportunity to play in many bands, and it has been a blast! I also sing with multiple choirs. I have a relatively large family, and I enjoy having relatives visit from their homes in Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a Mormon because of the Spirit I feel within the church. Key experiences in life have taught me how the Lord communicates with me through the Holy Ghost. Through careful and constant study of the Bible and the Book of Mormon, prayer, and church service, I've come to know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. The Spirit has given me a witness that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that we continue to receive revelation personally and through prophets today. This testimony is confirmed to me time and time again as I strive to draw closer to our Heavenly Father and serve to help others do the same.

How I live my faith

Before I was called as a full-time missionary, I had the chance to serve as a ward missionary. I got to befriend all of the new families in my neighborhood, help them feel welcome, and answer questions as we learned more about the gospel together. I was also a home teacher, which means that I was assigned specific ward members to visit and teach each month. That way, everybody in the congregation is individually looked after. Now that I'm serving a mission in Texas, I get to use those talents that the Lord helped me develop to serve and bless others in a whole new way!
