Hi I'm Allen H

I grew up in the Midwest in a decent sized town. I am the 3rd generation in my family in the car business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 3rd Generation in my family in the car business. Or in normal terms...I'm a Car Salesman. I was brought up with a very strong belief in God and Jesus Christ and the price he paid for us. I am happy marked and have 2 wonderful children! 1 Boy age 18 and 1 Girl age 11. I work full time in the Wholesale Remarketing end of the auto business. I attended College and I am just a couple hours short of a 2 year degree in Computer Programming and Web Design. Love playing basketball, am a huge saltwater reef aquarium fanatic and I'm horrible at camping and anything outdoor related!

Why I am a Mormon

It took me 10 years to decide to become a Mormon. My wife grew up in the church and always talked about the involvement growing up, I had fallen away from my church and just stopped going all together. I got very sick for a year...my family lost our home and all of our possessions. I had only been to the Mormon church a couple of times before. My family was fortunate enough to have a good friend take us in for a month while we looked for a place to live. When we finally found a place to move into (I was employed but on leave and not getting paid for this whole year) we needed to move quick. All of our possessions were in a storage garage and we didn't have the money to pay the next months rent that was due in 2 days if we didn't pay...we would lose everything we had left. My wife asked me if we could ask the church for help. I reluctantly said yes. The next day at least 5 trucks showed up and at a minimum 15 church members. No questions asked they helped us move into our new home. We were moved in less than 2 hours. The love that was shown to me was unreal! These were people I had never met and all they wanted to do was help me. I started really talking and listening to what the missionaries told me. During this time I was told that "You will know the tree by the fruit that it bares." This struck home with me. By these simple acts of kindness I knew what kind of tree the this church is. I'm still proud 3 years later to say I'm a part of this tree and I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my church with the men's group and help set up activities as well as helping new male members get involved in the church and meet new people. I love doing my home teaching with my families when I get the time...(I need to do it more)...just getting out to visit with other families like mine is great! We love having the missionaries of our church over as much as possible! They are so much fun and we have been able to meet young men and women from all over the country! Plus it's fun when they come back to visit us after they are done on their missions. It's like we add to our family every time we meet a new missionary.
