Hi I'm Elliot

I'm a missionary in the Thailand Bangkok mission. I love music, games, and anime. I'm learning how to be a good man. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up having fun running around Portland Oregon, and playing games with friends until I was 7. After that, I stayed in my room, played video games, watched shows, and went out with friends at night. I love reviewing media of any form. Movies, shows, games, anime, books, music, everything! It made me feel like I was a part of something, like I had people who understood me. I love playing ping-pong, I play the cello, and I love anything to do with bass. I make some electronic music as well. Beats and synths feel good to me. I had a fun childhood, and my teenage life was crazy and adventurous sometimes. It wasn't until my middle teenage years that I decided to try this being a mormon thing and see how it was. My world was changed. My brother left for his mission for two years to Tijuana Mexico. His example spurred me into reading The Book of Mormon and praying regularly. I felt a change in my life, like the hole I'd been trying to fill with video games and media was finally being filled. I hadn't felt like this in years, ever since I was a child. I decided I would serve a mission as well, and even though it took time, assistance, and coercion from my friends and family, I finally sent in my mission application. After much help from The Lord and a lot of study, I'm here now. I've been here for a while, and I'm trying my best to become what The Lords needs me to be as a husband, father, and servant of God.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ have guided me to many, grand, happy places. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church of Jesus Christ, even the same church that he established 2000 years ago. I know that Christ wants us to be better, and gives us that opportunity through repentance. Because he loves us, we can be forgiven for our sins if we truly want to change and become better people. Being a Mormon has taught me how to live my life in such a way as to make me happy, and gives me confidence to do all things. That's truly one reason I am a Mormon, is because it gives me guidance, and in that guidance is confidence. Within God's commandments is protection and true happiness. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints shows us the way to this true, full happiness through God's prophets and Apostles. I know this to be true, because I asked the one who owns this truth, even God Himself, and I received my answer. I love my God, I love His Son, and I love this church.

How I live my faith

I was a ward missionary in my ward when I was younger, and primary teacher for the kids. All the opportunities to teach has given me a lot of cool experiences for my mission. Teaching children has given me so much happiness and knowledge in the gospel. Their happiness and energy definitely rubbed off on me in the best way possible. The Gospel changes so much about our lives. It changes our personalities, our interests, our loved ones and those around us. Christ's teachings carry the secret to life, and if we follow them, and give ourselves to Him, He will show us the best way to live. Life is not about worldly possessions, nor about rank or status. Life isn't about what we do so much as what we become. I want to build my life around Christ so that I have a sure foundation, and I become the best I can be. I love my God. Put simply, God is the most important thing in the universe. He will help me if I but listen to Him.
