Hi I'm Aly

I love my savior Jesus Christ. I really love flowers. Sometimes I'm kind of funny. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a nineteen year old girl. I grew up in Utah my whole life, with my mom and dad and 2 brothers. I worked in a Special Needs classroom for the last year, until I made the decision to go on a mission to serve the lord and hopefully blessing the lives of others. I love my friends and family. I love to learn about people and why they do the things that they do. I want to go to school to be a psychiatrist or a therapist of some sort specializing in addiction and depression. I have had grown to love people who deal with those struggles and would like to do my best to give them the medical help that is necessary to overcome these trials. And be able to give them the peace that only comes through our savior Jesus Christ. I want to make every persons' life that I come into contact with a little bit better because I was in it. I love expressing myself through painting, drawing, interior design, clothes, pterodactyl noises, and by being myself. I get emotional about random things like flowers, clouds, balloons, fruit, the military, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have had many health issues my whole life, and one of my current ones prevents me from eating sugar. So that's a bummer. But no worries, they make sugar free Reese's Peanut butter cups.

Why I am a Mormon

It brings me joy that I know cannot come from any other place. I am Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only thing that brings me peace and hope in my trials. Because Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for me and the best way I can try repay him for his selfless act of love, is to dedicate my life to him. Because in the darkest time of my life when I couldn't find a reason to go on, The Book of Mormon saved me. I am a Mormon, because The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I try my best to follow the example of Jesus Christ, by loving, serving, and encouraging all my fellow men on this earth. I do the small and simple things like, read my scriptures, kneel down and pray to my heavenly father, attend church, earnestly seeking for the lords hand in my life, and doing everything else that I can to maintain the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I reach out to those that I know are going through a hard time or needs a friend. I try to accept anyone and everyone I come in contact, no matter who they are, or where they come from, or what they believe. Jesus said love everybody and I believe that you can do that, even if you do not agree with every decision another person is making, as long as you respect their beliefs and they respect yours. That doesn't mean you have to cheer on the bad choices of other people in order to "accept them". But it means that you love them and don't treat them differently, but you still stand up for what you believe. I believe that by living what you believe you can be a greater influence and disciple of Christ, than by doing anything else unless otherwise directed by the spirit. I try my very best to live what I believe, so that those who know me, will want to know Him.
