Hi I'm Camille

I love sports, Lake Powell, Harry Potter, my family, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

About Me

I am blessed to be in a family deeply rooted in the LDS faith. I have an older sister that is serving a full-time mission, a younger brother, and a younger sister. Chewie is our family dog. I just completed my first year of college and learned a lot about life and about myself while living away from home. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Orlando, Florida. I love serving here and learning more about people. The best part of being a missionary is sharing my love of the gospel with others and seeing it bless their lives, just like it has blessed mine! I am blessed to have a strong, supportive, loving family that encourage me to do my best. I have incredible friends that love me and support me, especially as I serve The Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to an active mormon family, I was bound to be a Mormon. I didn't really have a choice for the first few years of my life. And, because of that, I have never really doubted that this church is true. Everybody goes through that 'rebellious' stage of life. Mine was probably my junior and senior years of high school. It took not doing the little things in my life like praying or reading the Book of Mormon for me to realize that I needed the gospel in my life. I feel so much happier when I am doing what I know I should be and recognizing my Heavenly Father's hand in my life. I know that He loves me and puts me in situations to help me learn and progress so that I can be happy. I know that my Savior suffered and died for me. He knows me and understands the trials I go through. He knows what I struggle with and loves me anyway. There are no words to describe how grateful I am for Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he sacrificed everything so that we can have this wonderful church. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet today and that he receives revelation from our Heavenly Father. I know, without a doubt, that this is the true church and I am so grateful to be a part of it. I cannot wait to share the knowledge of the plan of happiness with my fellow brothers and sisters around the world.

How I live my faith

Living my faith includes serving in the temple, reading the scriptures daily, serving my family and those around me, praying often, being an example, and trusting in the plan of my Heavenly Father. Performing ordinances in the holy temple for those who have gone on before us gives me an opportunity to be close to my Savior and do something for them that they cannot do for themselves. Regular scripture study reminds me that my Heavenly Father is aware of all of His children and brings the spirit into my live each time I turn the pages. I have recently felt a new love for the Book of Mormon as I have been reading 3 Nephi. It's an amazing feeling to realize just how much our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ love us. We have the opportunity to return to live with them again through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am working everyday to become a better person by exercising faith in my Savior, practicing repentance, renewing my baptismal covenants each week by taking the sacrament, and living worthily to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. By continually doing these steps, I can be happy and eventually become the person who I want to be and who my Heavenly Father knows I have the potential to become.
