Hi I'm Shawn Hall

I'm an college student, a blogger, a classic film fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a Mormon family in Las Vegas and am now studying Archaeology in college. I am a history buff and love anything older than my grandparents, especially old classic films. My dream job is either to be a sweat-drenched, dirt covered archaeologist or an advocate for film preservation and restoration. I love playing and watching sports, especially basketball and football, and am a diehard BYU fan.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and had always lived the church`s standards because of my parents example of faithfully living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I saw their happiness and others' around me as a testament to the truth of the Latter-day Saint Church. I believed it was true but not until I served a two year LDS mission in Nagoya, Japan did I come to see the blessings of living the teachings of Mormonism. Now as a single college student, I am Mormon because everyday in my life, I see the blessings of living the teachings of the LDS faith. Because I go to church, pray, and read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, I receive guidance from God for my life. Faith in God and in His Son Jesus Christ has given me a sense of direction. I see myself becoming a better person and can live a fulfilling and meaningful life because of my faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by setting goals and making plans on how to best apply the principles I learn from church and from personal prayer and scripture study into my everyday life. I love to share what I learn in regards of my faith and write a blog that helps me communicate what I am learning in my everyday life experiences to others.
