Hi I'm Elder Kyle Ammon Johnson

I'm a drummer, an artist, a missionary in the Australia Adelaide Mission , and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have always lived inside the U.S of A. and have never travelled outside the states in my life. I have 4 brothers, of which i am the middle. I love my family and would never want it to be any other way than how it is right now. I am a momma's boy, I don't know where I would be without my mother. I love to play drums, I love to draw, and take photos, and just do anything artistic. My family grew up in the church, I was raised in it. I was baptized at the age of 8 years old, i didn't really know what baptism was all about until I became older. I spent my young childhood years growing up in shelton washington, then around the age of 11 i moved to a small town further west, called Montesano. I grew up in the church, but i never really had my own testimony, I was always afraid to go up to the podium and share my testimony on fast and testament meeting because i didn't know if i truly had a testimony; if i did, was it really mine? As i got older I began to really think about why i kept going to church, i never told my parents about this, but at one point i didn't want to serve a mission, i felt like it wasn't something i should do. The years went by, I went to a church camp, called camp helaman. the greatest place in the world for young men. There i found my testimony of the savior Jesus Christ, I knew i needed to serve a mission, and because Of Jesus Christ i can do anything. The next year i helped run the camp, I got my call, and I'm serving in the Australia Adelaide Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, not because of my parents beliefs. I am a Mormon because, I know with out a doubt that this church is true. I read the book of Mormon, and i took Moroni's challenge. I prayed to my Heavenly father with intent of finding an answer but i didn't get it. i attended camp Helaman two years ago as a district leader, and it changed me, it made me feel the spirit in a way that i cant fully describe. i felt loved and i knew that the church was true. it made sense to me. there was no more confusion or doubt in my mind. I knew the church was true. That camp brought me closer to Christ, and now I get to share what i felt with Others on my mission, that they might too receive answers to their prayers and the same happiness that i felt.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith everyday by thinking, what would the savior do? I dont want to sound like I'm a perfect example or disciple of Christ, but thats my goal. It has been a working progress and it still is. I want others around me to see me differently, to wonder what it is about me that makes me so happy, i want them to wonder why i am a mormon. I guess I try to live my faith by being a good person, always saying hello to people I meet. I love people, I want everyone to be happier, to feel the saviors love, and to know there is more to life. being a member of this church isn't just a once a week thing, it's a lifestyle. Everyone around us is always looking at us, seeing if we are going to mess up, so it's very, important to always be a good example, no matter where you are.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Elder Kyle Ammon Johnson
Because of Jesus Christ we can over come anything, we can gain victory over anything, and anything is possible. Through Christs redeeming blood we are able to be made perfect and return to live with our father in Heaven. I love my Savior, he is my best friend, my brother, and your brother. he loves us so very mch and will never forsake us. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Elder Kyle Ammon Johnson
Being a Mormon is the best thing ever! Me being a member of the church of Jesus Christ Of latter-day Saints is an amazing blessing. To have modern day revelation and a knowledge of God being my father. I would never trade that for anything. I know that Families are forever. not till death do us part, but rather that marriage is eternal. I Know that the book of Mormon is the word of God. The more I read of it, the more I come closer to my saviour Jesus Christ. This Church is true! One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. In this religion, we have all of the things necessary to obtain the highest degree of glory, and to live with our father in heaven for ever. I know these things are true, for the spirit has confirmed it. Show more Show less
