Hi I'm Joshua

I love people, Harry Potter and Taylor Swift. I am currently serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest in my family of six. In high school I was the Student Body President of my High School and loved every minute of it. Meeting new people each week was always the best and I loved helping them get to know the High School a little better. I played high school soccer for four years as the goalie. Some of my hobbies are running, ping pong (haven't played in the olympics yet), basketball, Harry Potter (the books and movies), and Taylor Swift is my favorite singer (Speak Now is my favorite album of hers). I will be serving a mission in the Scotland/Ireland mission. After I have completed my mission I will be attending Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up as a Mormon my whole life. At first I just went so I could hangout with my friends in the ward. After a while though I didn't understand why I went to church and I found myself questioning if this was the right church for me. So I read the Book of Mormon, and I really said my prayers, and went to church with the sole purpose of finding out if it was true or not. After a couple months of this I came to the knowledge that this church is true and that God does answer our prayers and that if we have a question he will answer it. I am so grateful for that answer and all it has done in my life. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I was involved in my presidencies throughout my life in the church. I go hometeaching with my companion almost every month and we visit two families. We also trade off who does the lesson. I try to teach the youth by being an example. I do this by always volunteering to do home Sacrament, and serving a mission. It is my absolute favorite thing to do. I enjoy listening to the stories they tell us every single time we go over, and love seeing how much the Sacrament means to them.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will talk to you about anything. They are normal people just like you and me. They enjoy talking about their families, friends, and fun experiences they have had. However they also will talk about Jesus Christ and his teachings and how it has helped them in their lives and to invite you to act on the message they share with you. They don't want you to take their word for it, they want you to find out for yourself if it is true. Show more Show less
