Hi I'm Jessica

I love new experiences and I'm always looking for a new adventure! My dream is to travel the world doing humanitarian aid projects

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in San Jose, California. I came out to help as many people as I can feel our Heavenly Father's love. While I have served, I gotten to know myself, I have learned from countless individuals, and most importantly, my relationship with God, and my love for Him has increased dramatically. I know that we are all here for a purpose, and that God's goal is for each of us to live happily with Him again. I love to be outside, to go hiking, camping, and to long board. I play the saxophone, and love music- anything from r&b to rap to country to indie- if it has a beat I'll listen. I am both an appreciator of art, and a painter, and most of all, I love having new experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

I have prayed about this church and its teachings, and I know that it is true because of the witness of peace the Holy Spirit has given to me. This gospel brings me joy, relief, and hope that I cannot find anywhere else. I have attended other religious services, and although they were inspiring, they did not help me to feel as close to God as the Book of Mormon and the LDS church does. I strongly believe that all faiths have truth, but I also believe that this faith has God's completed truth. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God, and I know that President Monson is called of God, and following them brings me happiness.

How I live my faith

I always strive to be an example, and to reflect Christ's light onto others. I do my best to have a positive attitude, to love those I talk to, and to have patience in every situation. I go to church every Sunday, read the scriptures and pray daily, always looking to improve my relationship with God. I learn from everyone I come in contact with as they share their life with me, I learn from their experiences, and love to see how God has blessed each of our lives, in both obvious and ambiguous ways.
