Hi I'm Leland Gray

I am from the northwest part of the United States. I became a Mormon when I was 27 years old.

About Me

I attended the university and became an architect. I am married and have 6 children and 15 grandchildren. My wife and I love to travel and we have spent over 160 days and nights on the canals of the United Kingdom. I am very interested in family history and have researched thousands of my ancestors. My son and I design tornado proof buildings for schools and public buildings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and I desire to accomplish much of good in the world when and where I am able. I love the Book of Mormon and find great peace and comfort in reading from the words it contains each and every day.

How I live my faith

I am active in the events of our community and ward. I helped pass laws in a State where we lived to provide safe cycling, pedestrian and equestrian trails. I own a 1947 John Deere B tractor that we use in parades and other events to entertain children and adults. I enjoy visiting our neighbors and helping them in their yard work and other needs, especially those who are less able to do that kind of work themselves. In my work I have designed hundreds of religious structures found throughout the world. One of my most enjoyable was to lead the design team for the Conference Center the the Church. I have enjoyed the opportunities to work in my church callings and have worked with children and adults and taught many classes. I have taught young people in early morning religion classes prior to the start of their normal high school classes. I have presented "fireside" talks to people in many different states and countries and have enjoyed the friendships we have gained in many distant areas of the world.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Leland Gray
There are many temples throughout the world that are visited by baptized members of the Church who are qualified to enter and there receive information that helps them to progress in their lives. Anyone can visit the temples to enjoy the beautiful landscaping and architecture. Show more Show less
