Hi I'm Sean Haskell

I'm a photographer, I'm a lover of the outdoors, and I'm a Southerner at heart. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in the great state of Alabama and have always enjoyed being outside. I love taking pictures of the beautiful world around me and of people that I love. I've played soccer my whole life and still have a passion for the sport. But, more than anything, I love getting to know the individual and unique story that every person has. I´m serving a mission in Mexico City until July 2016 and wouldn´t have it anyother way.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have yet to find a happier way. Many people say that they know that this is the true church and many say that they know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I agree, but before these things the only thing that I was able to come to really, really know is that those who lived the pure gospel of Jesus Christ have always been able to find a lasting happiness. Christ said "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you." My testimony of this scripture is so strong. So often in life we search out other ways to find happiness and peace, the peace of the world. Trust me, that peace doesn´t last. But there is an energy and a vibrancy, a pure and lasting joy, that comes when you hold tight to the iron rod of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. We´re made to live, not just exist, and the best way to live to the fullest is to fill your life with the light and life that the gospel brings.

How I live my faith

Home teaching and Visiting teaching, an activity that involves every individual in the ward being assigned a group of individuals and families to watch over and teach, is one of my favorite things about this church. I've found that as every member of our faith does their part to look after the others, a strong unity is formed in our local, national, and international communities. No other program that I've seen has as much love behind it, or offers as many spiritual and temporal rewards for the teachers and for those being taught. Right now I´m taking a 2 years off of life as normal to serve the Lord and the people of Mexico City in the Mexico City Chalco Mission.
