Hi I'm Jared

I'm a dad. I'm an accountant. I'm a BYU sports enthusiast. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad of two girls and three boys. I spend most of my free time with my young children and my wife, they are what brings the most happiness to my life. Our second youngest child was born without a right hand, so we are learning what it's like to raise a son with a limb difference. So far we are learning that he can do anything that his siblings can do. I love BYU sports and love to go to the football and basketball games. I love playing basketball and still play regularly. I also like to play tennis and golf once in awhile.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know the gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much happiness to my life and to my family's life. I know that we have a living prophet today that recieves revelation from our Heavenly Father to help guide us. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and that because of him, we can be forgiven of our mistakes and return to live with our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by the way I live. We try to do family scripture study every night, and also have a family prayer before we go to bed. We go to our church meetings every Sunday with our children and have family night every Monday. I currently serve as the bishop for my ward, which has over 400 people that I get to interact with and find ways to serve regularly. I work a lot with the youth in our ward by counseling and helping them through the challenges they are facing. In all my service, I try to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and serve as He would serve.
