Hi I'm Brad

I'm a father of five, a civil engineer, and glad to be a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my best friend for 21 years. Together, we have five wonderful children that keep us busy. It's pretty crazy keeping up with church, school, sports, music, and friends for a family of seven, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Just over a year ago my wife was diagnosed with leukemia. Her treatment included 69 days at the hospital and several months of out-patient chemo therapy. For much of the year our family was not able to be together and we were not certain my wife would survive. We are grateful that she is now in remission. This experience was worse than I could have imagined, but we have learned to appreciate each other and that each day together is a blessing. During the day I am a civil engineer specializing in transportation. I have had the opportunity to work on various exciting projects around the United States. When I have spare time, I like to get outdoors to go snowboarding, backpacking, hiking, wakeboarding, and mountain biking. I am not an expert at any sport but I manage to have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to be a Mormon! I am a much better person than I would otherwise be, because of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The teachings about Jesus Christ and families help me be a better person, husband, and father so I can truly be happy now and forever. The knowledge that I can be with my family forever and support from other members of this church have helped me through tough times in a way I can not describe. Through personal prayer and study of the scriptures, I know the teachings of the Mormon Church are true. I challenge you to not take my word for it, but to search, study, and pray to find the truth for yourself. (Mathew 7:18, James 1:5)

How I live my faith

I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me. I am far from his perfect example, but I try to live each day as he would have me do. If all of us would follow his example of integrity and kindness, the world would be a much better place.
