Hi I'm Cody Hughes

I grew up in California and Texas. I graduated from Samuel V. Champion High School. I'm a Mormon. Serving in Washington Kennewick.

About Me

I am serving in the Washington Kennewick Mission. I graduated from High school in 2014. I'm the son of divorced parents. My father remarried a wonderful woman/step-mom. My father converted to the Latter day faith.I followed soon after. My mom recently got baptized, on September 27, 2014. I am easy to talk to, and listen well to others. I love all kinds of music! I love the hill country of Texas and the coastal beaches in California and Florida. I'm a family man. I am an Eagle Scout thanks to my parents. I am the first in my family to go on a mission. When I return, I want to enroll in a law-enforcement academy or BYU. My end goal is to help make the world a safer place for everyone.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess the simple answer is that I love and I know the teachings of the Church are true. I know that the gospel taught in the 3 hours of Church on Sundays and in the seminary classes are without a doubt inspired by God. I continue to follow the faith because of the spirit I feel when I go to Church, and I know that it is the right thing for me to do. I know that this is the path to live with Him again. I know and have seen families brought closer together. I know that through this, families can be together forever, and most importantly I know that my Redeemer lives.

How I live my faith

I was secretary of the Priest group for three years. I have taught a few lessons for my classes, but I think I learned more than they did with the spectacular input and questions of my classmates and teachers. I was a senior patrol leader for the church troop. I live my faith through my prayers for my family, friends, and everyone I meet.
