Hi I'm Hermana Stefanie Sabourin

Even through struggles I'm serving as missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Dominican Republic.

About Me

I'm currently called to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission for 18 months. I leave on March 14th and I am so excited. I am half Dominican, I love singing and being around people. I love to laugh and have fun with my friends. I'm from Green Bay WI, but am currently in the Provo UT MTC. I'm studying Special Education at BYUI in Rexburg, Idaho. I love Christ and His church, I know that the Book of Mormon is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I love the feeling of joy it has brought into my life. I love being able to wake up in the morning and know that God loves me and will be there for me throughout the day. Being Mormon has helped me become a stronger person and closer to Christ. It has helped me surround myself with the light of service. I know that without the church in my life right now I would be in a very dark place because I was inactive for so long. But, because of The Church I am able to see the light at the end of the tunnel even on bad days. I am able to know I am a daughter of our Father and He would never do anything that would be to difficult for me to overcome. I know that the Lord loves me and gave me certain trails to make me stronger to make me the person I am today. I know everyday by feeling His love that I am supposed to be going on a mission and teaching His word to the souls that are ready. Remember even if it feels like Christ isn't there, He is.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by "Trusting in things which are not seen but which I know are true." I also live y faith by repenting daily and coming unto Christ when I pray and read my scriptures. I'm not perfect, sometimes I feel to tired to read my scriptures or don't feel like I'm having a good day. Sometimes I even doubt myself or look down on myself, but I know through my faith in Christ and His gospel. He will make weak things strong, and bring me much joy and happiness. Follow the commandments He has given us, and try your hardest to hold to the iron rod. The Lord will provide as long as we are keeping up our end also.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Hermana Stefanie Sabourin
If you pray and ask Heavenly Father if what you are being taught is true he will give you the answer and you will know if it is right. Also listen with all your heart and you will feel the truth. Read the Book of Mormon and if you are taking missionary lessons, do what is being asked of you. How can we manifest the truth to you if the other half of the deal isn't being met. We can't make you know it is true, but we as missionaries are there to help you know for yourself that it is true. Show more Show less
