Hi I'm Kjarstyn (Kj) Davis

I'm a teenager. A fangirl. An aspiring author. A South Dakotan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to bake, read, watch movies, play with my siblings, look at houses for sale anywhere, and write my book. I love my family, and my friends. I love BBC and all things British. I am a fangirl, with fandoms like Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, Hunger Games. I want to major in English/Creative Writing or Culinary Arts in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings that come when I follow the gospel. I have less problems in school, with my friends, with my family, and it is easier to be happy. The gospel gives an anchor and I KNOW it is true. No other church is the same. I once had many problems with my friends and the life I was living. I often felt empty and alone. I was still a member, but I was not reading my scriptures and participating in church like I should. I prayed for many nights in a row, not receiving an answer, but then we talked about the Book of Mormon in class, and I knew that was where I needed to turn. I started reading my scriptures again, and my life started to be pulled back together. I now feel more complete and like there will always be someone there for me. This is my "conversion story".

How I live my faith

I am the Ward Chorister and will probably be in the Presidency for our Young Women Classes (Mia Maids). I help the girls become closer to the gospel, or try to, and I love to help plan our activities.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Kjarstyn (Kj) Davis
Mormons have a very similar lifestyle to any other religion. We are still people! However, we really beleive in putting our standards higher than those of the world, and we love to have nice, safe, family and Christ oriented lives. We live our lives focusing on our Heavenly Father, our Savior, and the welfare of others. Show more Show less
