Hi I'm Mark

I'm 26. I'm a policeman. I'm a seeker of truth. I'm preparing to serve a mission in South-Africa. I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hello, I'm from Berlin, Germany, I'm 26 years old. I'm a metropolitan policeman (always been my dream) and I am living a happy, faithful life enriched with alot of tender mercies. I love to play soccer, I love running and swimming and most importantly, I love the Plan of Salvation, including many wonderful things, one of which is my future wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Lord. The reason why I can say that now is because I have seen my life without the gospel. I've been non-religous for over 25 years. A little over a year ago I was totally different person. I had everything I ever wanted in my life. I had some money, a good job that I loved and a great family. And still something was missing. I realized this as I came across the Violinist Lindsey Stirling on youtube. She expressed this happiness and joy that I wanted. Like mine her life wasn't perfect either, but she kept a smile on her face and uplifted people (like me). As I continued investigating, I found out that she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A mormon. I've heard a few things about them. None of them were good. Since I've always been someone to make his own mind, I wanted to find out myself. A big help on my journey was this very website mormon.org, where Lindsey Stirling uploaded a video with her believes and what her source of happiness. (Check it out, so worth it!) Soon after, I ordered two Book of Mormon, one german, the other english. (You can do it yourself, they're free) Two weeks after, I got them from a pair of missionaries. When I started reading the Book of Mormon, I felt so strongly, that there was something to it. It wasn't just a book. Now, I am more certain that this book I started reading a little over a year ago is true, than I am certain of writing this little text to you. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helped me to become better. There now is an everlasting purpose to do good in this world. And it's not in vain, at all! I know that what was missing all my life was this powerful, true, enabling and uplifting gospel of the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints. I love the Lord. I love my Savior. I know that God loves everyone of us. We are His children.

How I live my faith

Soon after I joined the Church I was called as a secretary in Berlin. It's a calling where you deal with youngsters and organize big activities for member and non-members. It's a unique experience where I was able to grow alot. In my ward I became a hometeacher. A wonderful calling. As a hometeacher you visit active member as well as those who have gone inactive. There are many reasons why people go inactive. The major reason is because they have lost their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is where righteous hometeachers can lift the heart of the depressed and heal the wounded. A truly miraculous calling.
