Hi I'm Kaylene

I am a grandmother of 21. Mother of 7. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom of five boys and two girls, and a grandma of 21. I love to read and play games with my grandchildren; paper dolls and things like that. My favorite memories with them are when they come to visit and we get to share special events. I like to read. My favorite are historical fiction novels. I like to travel, I have been to Israel, church history tours, and other places in the US. I enjoyed working as a secretary at an LDS Institute of Religion at a University. Everyone there was like family. I loved getting to know everyone, the Spirit and the environment there were so pleasant. It was invigorating spending time with the wonderful young people who came there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born of goodly parents who taught me well and I don't think I ever disbelieved them. I continued in the faith because of my own witness that Jesus Christ's church has been restored to the earth in this Latter day and I am happy to do my part to further His Kingdom. The ordinances of the Gospel of Jesus Christ give me hope of being able to return and live with my Heavenly Father and having Him say to me, "Well done".

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in Nauvoo. That is a historical site on the National Historical Registry. Here people of our faith built a city and dramatic events unfolded, they were forced to leave. As a missionary I tell people about the lives of the people who lived here. I have grown to love them and the courage that they demonstrated. It has given me a much greater appreciation for the sacrifice that they made and the values that they passed on to my family.
